Burned Portraits Of Soldiers Of WWII

t-radya made these impressive portraits of fallen Russian WWII soldiers. The faces were made of bandages on wooden boards and were then burned to create this particular look. Afterwards, the portraits were put up on the walls of an abandoned WWII hospital ( which at that time took the wounded soldiers from the front ) in Yekaterinburg, Russia.

During the Second World War (1941-1945) this building housed Hospital No. 1705 for the wounded soldiers of the Soviet Army.
